    Program of the day: mps-youtube, an ncurses UI for YouTube. Aimed at playing music, but can also be used to watch videos by changing some settings. Other settings I had to tweak were chronological order in channels, adding a date column and setting max resolution to 720p. Help is concise / to the point, so that didn't take too long to figure out. Uses youtube-dl and mpv or mplayer. Verdict: 4/5 https://social.umeahackerspace.se/attachment/452268

    I'm skeptical of the direction the fediverse is taking lately, replicating feel-good features of Siren services that not only assumes all clients play ball but also all servers. It's enough to motivate people like me to write implementations that purposefully don't honor them

      John McAfee is about to release his own personal fiat currency backed on crypto. According to McAfee, the 'fiat' currency will be connected to the blockchain with tokens, and will have different denominations. Apparently, it will be called the McAfee Redemption Unit used to meet with McAfee personally anywhere in the world.
