Companies co-opting the free software movement worries me. Especially with how we use language. When you say free software, I'm sure people think something that doesn't cost them which a lot of things don't monetarily. When you say open source, well... that doesn't have to have privacy and freedom in mind. Now when you say decentralised... I worry it is going the same way.

Sometimes a cure can be a hindrance while other times it relieves worse symptoms.

@awg @cereal And this is why you don't get with a journalist.
-
@ajr Honestly, that seems more sad than anything else. I'm not really one for the message of selflessness.

@ajr Ugh... I'm not sure that I would want to watch something like that.

@roko Yeah. Although I kind of liked how limited it was in scope because they could flesh it out better. Focus on the detail. It is interesting that one game makes the choice for you, and the other game provides more options like the choices you make do make a difference, earlier than you expect them to.

@ajr I'm not familiar with that title and how it relates... what is it about?

"A ‘dad’ story allows you to take a fully developed character that shouldn’t be able to develop further, and throw them into a scenario where they must alter their nature not to be their best self, but to be their best self ‘for’ someone they love."

I suppose it has to be based on something to have a conversation on it, and if not those things then what would it be based on?

It is sort of hard to find stuff on womanhood that isn't based on feminism or religion.

Tolkien finds a lot to be quite queer.

@guizzy Yeah. Although I'd rather better songs became classics. :')
-
@mangeurdenuage I would hope not! Although it is interesting how there has been a coverage of race or country in the book so far. Like how the hobbits of the Shire usually keep to themselves, and worry more about what goes on there than in the outside world. Although sometimes they visit the Bree-folk, and mingle there happily or just being friendly.
