@sim @overflow >what other options are there? Troc/barter. The problem is that everyone values objects differently. And we still that with cash. For example I did a 4 day job on a single computer and it cost 120 euros for the customer, other people would either never had done work on it because they see it has non profitable due to the cost of living/time passed to solve the problem. Or it would have costed a lot more than what I asked for.
>Labour voucher >see wiki >With such a system in place, monetary theft would become impossible Does not change the problem of being able to exchange the paper between people, thus it makes fraud possible, if that's a problem to you of course. Imo people should be free to do what they want with their retribution. This is what happens with checks these days when people do not want to pay in cash. Multiple checks with certain amounts without names are made and then people either exchange them with other people or pay with more than one check.
>precious metals Precious metals or precious gems are also arbitrarily evaluated.
>cryptocurrency -When the internet will be fully anonymous -When computer will run GPL software/hardware from top to bottom -When the power used to mine isn't waisted into nothingness, like for example "World Community Grid" and other projects. Tbh I'd go into cryptocurrency if they would implement such function. WCG-Coins. Coins in which computation results were made for public research projects.
There is no real definitive solution to the currency system. The only system that works is when a majority of people accepts it. Like most system.
@ooignignoktoo @@coolboymew >But I can't help feel like the spirit of the company giving a damn about it's consumers died with Iwata. Pretty much. And then Reggie Fils-Aimé retired. Now it's just a cash grab.
I will never ever side with Nintendo with the Smash thing and I cannot believe the amount of simps would would and I absolutely commend the Splatoon community over fucking over their own event in solidarityOh boo hoo hoo, people are emulating melee in a tournament to be able to battle online, who the fuck cares? It's not as if Nintendo is even selling it. It's literally unavailable, it's not sold in any store or digital platform worldwide, so what the fuck? If they ain't providing what the community want, then they can go fuck themselves and the community is gonna provide it for themselvesThe simps against emulations are really getting on my nerves. If it wasn't for emulation and piracy you couldn't play 99.99% of games made in the past, they simply ain't being rereleased. There would be no speedrunning community, no twitch, no fucking anything
>The simps against emulations mfw people get angry about that. https://invidious.snopyta.org/watch?v=PTkHT6UHqkI Tbh I'm frustrated about $corporation not releasing their source code under after the console/game support life is dead.
