Announcing #Trisquel 9 "Etiona" (the name I suggested got picked! Exciting!) https://trisquel.info/en/trisquel-90-development-plans
-
@raucao not the best option, true. But at least they weren't using MS Skyte, goOgle HangUps, or Apple FacePalm ;-P
-
@lightweight damn #Mastodon and its terrible thread reconstruction across multiple apps #GetOfMyLawn you hairy elephant kids!
-
Someone needs to let the Quitter.im folks know their HTTPS is failing today, and I can't get to the site
-
I wish clicking in #Qvitter on posts from #Mastodon users showed me the prior posts, like it does with posts from other #fediverse apps :(

@lightweight this one: htttp://ezinearticles.com/?Captchas-Considered-Harmful---Why-Captchas-Are-Bad-And-How-You-Can-Do-Better&id=1104207

@wulee @edsu but #Hubzilla is still the only app that supports every other app (via OStatus, Diaspora and AP) despite them not speaking Zot
-
@wulee @edsu it sounds like the #SocialWG just put many of the problems #Zot *already solves* (eg #NomadicIdentity) in the #TooHardBasket
-
@wulee @edsu true, #Zot has no #W3C support, but not for lack of trying on Mike's part according to his comments in the article.
-
@lightweight have you checked out the suggestions in that link? TL;DR trick bots into revealing they're bots instead of annoying humans
-
@alcinnz I'm confused. PHP is a language. Django and Rails are frameworks, which AFAIK is what Maki is.

@raucao your description could apply to almost every state in the world at this point in history, but the #PublicService is not the state
-
@raucao sure bro, no good news is worth reporting if anyone involved isn't a perfect saint, and above criticism, eh? ;-P
-
@edsu @wulee exactly, which is why @mike is right that protocols are ultimately a "gentleman's agreement"

@vertigo @h my friend's noise cancelers were like DJ cans, totally covering his ears. I think it helped that he listened to gentle music too
