But being able to play the same song on every device I own when I'm in reach of the home #Wi-Fi is a powerful attractant.
Now that it is working again, let's see how long it takes them to fill 7TiB of space. -

Not sure they’ll continue to be able to import the Matebook X into the US, either. -
Strypey (strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz)'s status on Thursday, 02-May-2019 12:30:14 UTC Strypey I just bought a used #IBM #Thinkpad X60, with 4GB of RAM and a 480GB SSD, for 1030 RNB. The equivalent of about US$150 or 140 Euros. It definitely runs #Trisquel GNU/Linux (including #WiFi) and I'm hoping I can install #Libreboot on it.

Strypey (strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz)'s status on Sunday, 28-Apr-2019 09:00:19 UTC Strypey @postmarketOS something similar has already happened in the US with negative consequences for the software freedom of #WiFi routers:
https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Save_WiFi/Individual_CommentsThere needs to be a much larger, international campaign around wireless communication freedom. The question is, how to coordinate it (and how to fund it).

There’s no service, but she uses it on #Wi-Fi like a mini-tablet. I’m not sure whether she has the communication program that we use, because she hasn’t responded since 2019-01-27. I’ll try to ask my son when I call tomorrow. -

Ubuntu, Mint, Crunchbang managed to work for five or six months at a time. Some other distros were Ethernet-only or failed within the first month. In conversation from AndStatus permalink -

I've hit the emoji button several times when I meant to shift to numerics and symbols. I've also dealt with the #Wi-Fi bug. Finally, we confirmed our findings in practice, and found that every Wi-Fi device is vulnerable to some variant of our attacks.
Notably, our attack is exceptionally devastating against #Android 6.0: it forces the client into using a predictable all-zero #encryption key.In conversation from despora.de permalink -
