I'm here to follow, learn, share and debate. I'll probably toot more in spanish, but I could do it also in english and I also can speak french. These are some of my interests:

What's that thing called in wide-open #videogames where first you have to complete some minor task before you're allowed out in the open? Some dated examples:
#KingdomOfLoathing required proof of spelling before you could chat with other players.
#WindWaker requires a series of tasks culminating with a sail before you can see the sea.
#Ultima7 required solving a minor murder mystery before being let out of the first town and into the world.
It's not just a tutorial, there's a name for this.
So, in #DonQuixote, ever so once in a while the characters just stop whatever they're doing and either pick up a book and start reading it out loud, or sit around a campfire and start telling some story. That is, the main plot just stops, and we get a chapter or two of a completely unrelated story-within-a-story.
At the time, Cervantes thought people needed to get their money's worth, by getting several stories at once.
Today, we continue this tradition by stuffing #videogames with minigames.
I wish I had the time to sit down and analyze why autumn and sunset colours in general are such a recurring topic in indie games lately...#semiotics#videogames
As a long-time fan of #strategy#videogames, I'm becoming more and more aware of the fact they are a channel through which the predominant, hierarchical and capitalist worldview is delivered to teenagers and young adults around the world.
What if, for a change, we developed a strategy game where #cooperation and mutual help are rewarded, instead of conquest, exploitation and wealth extraction? Would such a game be boring, or fun to play?
Politics: Government is a lobby-style #MMO video game where there's lots of players waiting around but almost all attempt to extort expensive DLC items out of you for the privilege of playing with them. They argue that you're free to otherwise play the practice/tutorial mode all that you want. #gaming#satire#videogames
#GarfieldGohttps://shitposter.club/attachment/778381 The goal here is to "flick" the lasagna into the food bowl so garfield can eat it. Note that the comic font makes it look like it says "fuck the food in the bowl" but it does in fact say flick.
You have to flick your finger sort of like in #PokemonGo except this is really hard and not fun, and also you're flinging lasagna in virtual reality at 8:30 at night and your neighbors think you're mentally disabled.
--- So this month was the tenth anniversary of my favorite Let's Play ever, pokecapn's #Sonic06. Join him and his friends, Kung-Fu Jesus, IlluminatusVespucci, medibot, and John Condit as they curse, scream, cry, eat, and chant song lyrics through one of worst games available at the time. Be careful, it's really long. The first video and playlist is linked above! #videogames#letsplay#SAforums#sonicthehedgehog
