Remember when computers got too fast and programs written in #TurboPascal which used the CRT unit started crashing? (At least #TP7 had that issue; I presume that TP5.5 and other versions prior to v7 had the same issue.)
Also: I do not believe #FreePascal had the same issue, even though it tried (tries?) to stay pretty close to TurboPascal. -

I liked #Turbo_Pascal 7.0 ... TP7 was understandable, but I never "got" TPW1.5. ( Turbo #Pascal for Windows ) In conversation from AndStatus permalink
