Message to users of quitter.no. I've decided to close this site on it's 4th birthday, that is 5th September -18. I do not have the energy and capacity to host the site anymore. Please "migrate" or find a new GNU Social home. I've decided to not handover the maintenance or data to anyone else - so please do not ask to get the data to host this site further. Thank you all for using Quitter this period and for following it's users. - A. !quitterno #gnusocial #quitter

@mcscx2 About "not-responding database server every few minutes" that tend the !quitterno to be almost unfuctional,just wondering if @knuthollund has any news for this?
-
Sorry for the downtime on quitter. !quitterno - started me wanting to install certbot to automatically renew certificates, which led to med doing dist-upgrade, moving to debian stretch. My root went full due to a stupid mistake, clean that up etc. Anyway - should be ok now. #gnusocial

@lnxw48a1 That's good news :-)
Thanks, @knuthollund :-)

Happy new year !fediverse !quitterno - - stay free (and metall) in 2018 as well! I hope (don't like to set new year goals - but hope is ok) to use more free software in 2018 and promote more of it at work.

Is there an option to backup a !gnusocial account (mainly: people I follow and groups I'm subscribed to) and to import it in a new quitter server? I can't find the option here in !quitterno (qvitter or classic), nor looking for it in duckduckgo.com, FAQ... Thanks!

@xj9 I know it isn't #LoadAverage, but the admin of #gnusocial.no and #quitter.no is planning to close at least one of the sites. https://gnusocial.no/notice/2402598 Maybe he would be willing to hand instance over to someone who would keep them going. // Sent to your old account before.

FYI quitter.no is now on "nightly" branch. I have also implemented restart of daemons and servers at 00.00 every night. There are 8-12 threads handling the queue to coop with the traffic. (approx 1000-2000 notices pr.hour - varies through the week). Working on getting RabbitMQ as the queue handler, however I receive notices and it is pushed into the RMQ queue, but it's not pulled back from the queue into the GS database. Looking into it again when time. !quitterno
