I don't have #WI on my list of areas that #NOAA / #NWS notifies me about, but I saw someone post about a dense fog warning for Central and East Central #Wisconsin. They did mention Green Bay, but didn't say much.
-
I've been getting "weather advisory cancellation notice" alerts most of today. #NOAA / #NWS has been warning about snow, mixed precipitation, and wind chills for days, and this could mean the storm is over.
-
Getting a bunch of alerts from #NOAA / #NWS cancelling wind chill warnings & advisories across #KS, #NE, and #MO. Yay!
-
And in Central Kansas from just East of Hays to just West of Fort Scott: from 6PM Central tonight until 9AM Central Saturday (tomorrow): wind chills as low as -16F / -27C. #NOAA / #NWS
-
In portions of SE Nebraska, wind chill advisory continues.
Wind chills as low as -27F / -33C until noon on Saturday (tomorrow). #NOAA / #NWS

The cold event in the middle of the country (from at least #NE, #KS, and #MO to #OH and probably beyond) continues to march forward. Tonight, wind chills could be as low as -50F in some areas. Up to six inches of snow, and winds up to 50MPH.
This is potentially deadly weather, so if you're in an affected area, make sure you have food, fuel, water, blankets, warm clothing, and then stay inside with your heater running.
#NOAA / #NWS has been alerting about this for a few days to encourage people to prepare.

Now, the messaging I've seen from #NOAA / #NWS doesn't say *which* passes, so I'd expect Tejon, Cajon, and San Gorgonio passes to see snowfall. No idea about Mountain Pass. Either way, it means that major routes into and out of #SoCal could be affected.

Potential is slight, but it is there. I sent this to my daughter-in-law, so she can show it to my grandson.

#NOAA / #NHC still expecting #TropStorm #Nicole to become a category one #hurricane. Currently, the center is near Grand Cayman Island 🏝️. The #Cayman_Islands 🇰🇾 are under a hurricane 🌀 warning, as are portions of #Florida. Storm surge is expected to be major and to cover a broad area.
I watched videos by Tropical Tidbits Levi Cowan and Mr Weatherman Brian Shields with my grandson again, along with visiting “the NHC site”:{https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/}.

#NOAA / #NWS has been sending alerts about rainy and snowy weather in !SoCal for the past few days. No reports from home about any flooding or damage, but I did hear that one of the mountain passes had a car washed off the highway.
-
Today’s discussion is about Subtropical Storm ⛈️ Nicole, which appears to be heading for The Bahamas and Florida. We looked at the #NOAA / #NHC inundation map for this storm. It looks like there could be storm surge flooding for some distance inland.

#NOAA / #NWS reported at least two 5.0 earthquakes on the SE coast of the island of #Hawaii in #HI. The first one was re-evaluated as a 4.9. Over 500 reports on the 2nd one, but the pager is green (low or no damage, low or no fatalities).
The quakes were on or near the Southeastern flank of Mauna Loa.
No #tsunami, according to https://tsunami.gov/

Got some #NOAA / #NWS notifications about severe #t-storms in parts of #Kansas and #Nebraska late last night / early this morning. About two hours later, they sent red flag warnings (fire weather watches and warnings) for nearby and partially overlapping areas. It just seems weird that they’re warning about rain, hail, winds … and then a few hours later, some of the same areas are being warned about fire danger.
