    The little guy is having a tough time. He’s been resisting bedtime and naptime so strongly that he’s missing wurricane time. During today’s nap, he went into the closet where my suitcase and backpack are, opened both and removed everything, including my work laptop 💻 and my #Nintendo #3DS handheld videogame device. He found a Sharpie in there, too, so he scribbled on the 3DS screens.

    Fortunately, I had plastic screen protectors. Also fortunately, he didn’t deface the work laptop.

    Friday's cross-country travel was sixteen hours from door to door. I'm getting paid for most of it. The bag of cheezits on the planecounts as a half hour lunch.

    Also, it was too dark for me to play with my handheld game system (Nintendo #3DS), so that and the #Nintendo #Switch got zero gameplay in 11 months.

    I just recently realized that I did not bring a charger for my #Nintendo #Switch. I have not need it, though. I think I turned it on once in 2.5 months.

    While the work laptop downloads six updates, I decided to take a look at Fortnite on the #Nintendo #Switch. I haven’t opened it since February, so there’s an update that takes 90 minutes to download.

    (It is probably going to #GS3 when he’s about 8 years old if it still works. He’ll have to share it with his brother #GS4.)

    I brought the #Nintendo #3DS and #Switch with me on this trip. I think I turned each one on for about two or three minutes, then turned them both off before even starting to play any games.

    I expect that the 3DS will be given to GS3 sometime after his 8th birthday, unless someone buys a 2DS for him first.

    Oh, that looks pretty neat. I have a real #Switch, so I'd probably only use #Yuzu to play homebrew games, if that's even a thing for the #Nintendo Switch. (I've heard that N is known for lawsuits.)

    It could just be that I never owned or pkayed any #Nintendo devices, but I find that I rarely play more than 10 minutes at a time on #Switch, #Wii-U, or #3DS, while I can play for up to an hour on #PSP and #PSVita.

    I even brought the 3DS on my trip.

    Fourteen months ago, #Little_Boy_A was explaining to me that the games he wanted were not going to be available for their #Nintendo #Wii-U, only for #3DS / #2DS and the #Switch. Two weeks later, I bought a used 2DS at GameStop and shipped it to #AZ.

    I’m considering buying him a 2DS XL ... does anyone know what advantages and disadvantages the XL has in comparison to the regular 2DS?

    Launching #Pokemon Sun on the #Nintendo #3DS ... but since I’ve never played any of the other games, I should wait until #faveNephew is off work tonight. Maybe we can team play or something while I learn how to work the game.

    I’m definitely not a fan of “give us your zip code for this zero-price update so we can calculate sales tax” ... I wonder how many people insert the Beverly Hills zip?

    Na hurra: Jetzt ist #Sony auch auf den Zug mit den sog. Mini-Konsolen aufgesprungen und präsentiert mit der "Playstation Classic" ebenso wie #Nintendo und #Koch-Media eine vermeintliche Retro-Konsole mit "vorinstallierten, lizensierten Spielen".

    Wichtige Frage aber: Gibt es denn ein Laufwerk, um Datensträger einlegen und nutzen zu können? Die relevante Antwort: Nein, gibt es nicht. Ergo: Vermarktung unter dem netten Retro-Deckmantel, um noch Einnahmen abgreifen zu können. Vorzugsweise dann noch ein ARM-Board in einem an die Playstation 1 (PSX) angepassten Gewand.

    Und nein: Ich werde jetzt nicht noch einen Link hierzu einfügen. Der Grund? Möchte ich den positiven Tenor der Onlineportale auch noch unterstützen? Nein, möchte ich nicht. Aber hey: Hauptsache "lizensierte Spiele". Echt jetzt? Und dann verklagen #Nintendo und Co. beispielsweise Webseiten, die sich über Jahre um die Erhaltung und Sammlung der Klassiker gekümmert haben. Typisch #Urheberrecht und #Kapitalismus. Da erwerbe ich doch lieber die Klassiker für die PSX und erstelle selbst ISO-Dateien für meinen Eigenbedarf. Verdammt nochmals! #Stop-Playing-Bullshit
