Official poverty rates fell last decade across the US, but the *asterisk* is that 2009-2011 rates were affected by a severe and long-lived recession. 2019-2021 rates were affected by #COVID-19 and its related economic slowdown, but also by stimulus packages.
#MS had the highest previous rate, at 21.0%, the only state above 20%. #NH had the lowest previous rate at 7.3%. Ten years later, #Mississippi's rate fell to 18.1, which still appears to be highest; #New_Hampshire's rate reached 5.6%, which likewise appears to still be the lowest.
I think #MA wanted to move to AST so they could have whatever advantages that DST is supposed to give without being on Daylight Saving Time. As I understood it, the proposal would have required #NH, #VT, #ME, #CT, #RI to all agree to move to the new time zone before it could become effective.

The #nyc franchisee could just not run them well, but this is quite a different experience.
Also, according to Politico, #Trump won in #FL, #IA, #OH. #Biden won in #MN, #NH. Maine and Nebraska allocate electoral votes by congressional district. In #ME, one of the two districts went for Biden (the other is not yet projected). In #NE, two of three districts went for Trump.
No results yet for #GA, #NV, #PA, #MI, #TX, WI, #NC.
