I think I should go ahead and admit that #loadaverage is probably down forever.
But what happened to #thefreaks.club? -

I really think that we need to rethink the way we store remote posts and attachments. Some have suggested something like storing attachments in #IPFS, so that there's not as much need for duplicate storage. Others say 'just get a cloud storage account' and store files there. The other alternative is to have a limited storage time for remote media, so that requests beyond a certain time period have to obtain the media from the original site again.
Though #LoadAverage may be permanently gone by this point, I don't think we need to allow every instance to eventually be sunk by storage limits. -

I wonder whether @xrevan86@loadaverage.org has given up on restoring #LoadAverage. It had been giving HTTP Error 502 for a long time, but now it isn't even reachable. -
LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} (lnxw48a1@nu.federati.net)'s status on Wednesday, 31-Mar-2021 16:48:52 UTC LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864}
So #LoadAverage is back, but it doesn't seem to be federating, at least not via #OStatus. -

It looks like #LoadAverage is (partially) back. You can log in, but attempting to post anything results in Error 500. -

@musicman A couple of days ago, some patches were written for GS to help with bringing #LoadAverage back and to prevent other instances from facing the same problem. I don’t know if there are more patches needed, or how long it will take to get it going again. -

Good morning and #TZAG. I.ve finished today's #YoCo ( #yogurt and #coffee ).
No word on when or whether #LoadAverage will return. -

#LoadAverage appears to be having some database issue right now, so they're not active. If you know users there, they cannot currently post and none of their timelines can update.

Interesting, also the #Gnusocial #LoadAverage gives HTTP 500 #status #code #internal #error, even if the posts clearly do get published. Way strange. -

#LoadAverage is currently down. @pztrn@loadaverage.org and @xrevan86@loadaverage.org are trying to figure out the disk space issue. -

#LoadAverage is moving to a larger virtual server right now. Not sure how long the downtime will be. -

By the way, in case you missed the announcement, #LoadAverage is doing a big #DB migration ... from #MySQL / #MariaDB to #PostgreSQL. It is taking a while, and I'm sure that after the main move is complete, there will be several little details that have to be tweaked.

Apparently there is some downtime over at #LoadAverage. I believe @XRevan86@loadaverage.org is aware of it, but I have no details of what happened or when a fix is expected. -

Someone should ping @xrevan86@loadaverage.org to alert him that the #LoadAverage .org domain may have expired. The cert is for *.reg.ru -

@skoll3 It's on GNU social nightly with all the current commits, up to date Devuan Ascii, PHP 7, with HTTP/2 support enabled even. What do you mean don't update it?
I didn't look into Pleroma much. Even if I were to move !loadaverage to Pleroma, I will first make sure that everything that is utilised on !gnusocial is also possible there.
So not completely impossible this is :-). -

@musicman Oh, yes, I can see now. #LoadAverage is really slow. The site could be very well be timing out some requests.
I know they've been doing some #database optimizations, so it should not be so slow.
