Updates tagged with lighttpd on Federati Nu: Federated N-series GNU Social!lnxw48a1: https://www.lighttpd.net/2020/11/29/1.4.56/ New release for #lighttpd ... seems to check a couple of buzzword bingo checkboxes: HTTP/2, Brotli. Also some improvements to #TLS session handling and support for other TLS libraries ( #OpenSSL was already there, but now experimental support for #GnuTLS, #mbedTLS, #WolfSSL, and #NSS), deprecating some modules.

There might be podcasts focused on webservers ( #Apache #httpd, #Lighttpd, #Nginx, #Cherokee, #OpenBSD httpd, etc ) and plugins / extensions ... maybe with some coverage of Web APIs and such. Or there might be some that cover everything the Apache org produces. I’m not confident that you will find any #podcasts that cover only the intersection.

I need to see about getting Federati's #XMPP server running again. I never got it to work with #LetsEncrypt, but I'm probably going to switch to a paid cert authority anyway. #LECert is too fiddly if there's anything different about your setup (e.g., using #Lighttpd or #Prosody instead of #Apache or #Nginx).

(My experience agrees a little, but most of my own issues were that certbot wasn't written with #Lighttpd in mind, so there's a small piece of manual work that must be performed.)

It renewed, but something between #LetsEncrypt + #Certbot on one side and #lighttpd on the other always fails during the changeover. Trying to remember the special incantation needed to make it work again.
