    Sermon today was 90-10. Taken from 2 Kings 5. We tend to ignore the 90% that is going right and focus on the 10% that isn't. Don't ignore what is wrong--work to fix it--but remember to celebrate and reinforce what is right.

    Today's church service is also a sad transition. I've worked in Jefferson City ( #JCMO ) four of my five times working in #Missouri. This has been my favorite church in the entire country since 2009. However, I'm not expecting to return to this location again, so this was a permanent goodbye to a group of people I've intermittently interacted with for nine years, each time I came to #MO.

    @alpacaherder @moonman A local #JCMO high school is passing out viewing glasses, then having a 'evacuation drill' ... students will file into the stadium to watch the eclipse.

    I suspect it is due to each state's Education Code requirements.

    #JCMO's Capital Mall felt like a scrappy survivor just a year ago. It was definitely stronger than Columbia Mall. Now it feels like rigor mortis is starting. Even Justice, the store where I used to get clothing for #GD1 and #GD2, is an empty shell. :-(

    About three years ago, I was in #JCMO when tornado sirens went off. Never having seen a tornado, I went outside, but it was not near us.

    #sonOne told me that he also went outside when his weather radio sounded an alert about a tornado in his area. Fortunately, it was not near them.
