    17:20 on Friday, a maintenance crew came to work on the fire-suppression sprinklers. Quick fix, and they were done in about fifteen minutes. #hotel_living

    I explicitly do not make resolutions, because I don't see myself suddenly being a very different person than I am.

    That said, I'd like to:

    * take my final assignment for $EMPLOYER and be gone (to another employer) before my 14th anniversary in September. This is already the longest job I've ever held.

    * lose most or all of this surplus 50lb that I've accumulated. I realize that #hotel_living and $EMPLOYER's work schedule & conditions are not conducive to this, so I have to pursue this after I'm done with all that.

    * get a medical plan where I actually know which doctors and which procedures / medications are covered.

    * relocate to a place where I can both live and work with minimal out of town traveling and limited commuting time. Hopefully, this place will be near enough to the #grandkids in #KS / #MO and #NE that I can see them regularly.

    These are "I'd like to" because I can't and won't promise myself these things will happen as desired.

    Speaking of the #PS4 and the #Switch (ref @tekk's conversation at https://social.tekk.in/notice/200781 ), I'm hoping to get an extended time at home some time in 2018. One of the things I'm hoping to do is actually play both systems (and the #PS3 and the #Wii-U, too).

    I don't think the extended travel life ( AKA #hotel_living, being a #road_dog ) is worthwhile for me anymore.

    The shower here has two settings: too hot and too cold. Too hot relieves the minor pain in that spot in my back and hip, so I'll take that one. #hotel_living

    A couple of years ago, when I was at home, I used to walk more, probably 5-13 miles per day. 21 consecutive months of #hotel_living has not been good for my body. I'm trying to get back to where I was, including dumping the 25-30 pounds I've gained since then.
