#GS5 is not quite 6 months old, but he's wearing 12M size clothing. I didn't offer him a choice of colors, so he got red with white and gray.

#GS4 has his two years checkup coming soon. Daughter-in-law is concerned that his weight (which was already near the lower end for boys his age six months ago) hasn't risen enough. I think part of this is because his brother #GS5 is near the top for his own age ... and not very far behind GS4, who is around the 5th percentile for his age.
#GS3 had his four years checkup and he apparently gained about 25% from where he was six months ago, putting him around the 50th to 75th percentile for his age.

I had a #videochat tonight with #GS3, #GS4, and #GS5. The older two have birthdays coming up. The almost 4 year old told me about earthquakes and a storm that gave him a headache … which seemed pretty dramatic, so he may have embellished a bit. The almost 2 year old had a whole conversation of one word responses. His vocabulary is expanding. He also brought me his newest toy (some sort of stuffed animal with electronics that flash lights, make noises, and move … reminded me of Gremlins from the 1980s movie)
The TV was on, so the almost 4 year old was distracted (the almost 2 year old also, but much less), but they talked until (and partway through) dinnertime.

It was short, but I enjoyed the videochat. #GS4 wanted to show off the toy trash truck that I bought for them last year. He kept holding up the truck and telling me what it was.
“Truck!”
“Do you like the truck?”
“No!” (He still doesn’t say “yes”; not ever.)
#GS3 was telling me about the snow ❄️ and ice 🧊 outside. They went out to play, but he slipped and fell. No injuries, but that was the end of their outing.
#GS5 made it clear that he was hungry. Waaa 😫! (He’s holding steady at about 75% as heavy as GS4.)

The #hotel_Wi-Fi is horribly slow tonight. Around 2Mbps download speed.
We're going to try to have a #videochat with #GS3, #GS4, #GS5 tonight, so I'll hotspot off the phone instead.

I got to #videochat with #GS4 & #GS5 yesterday. #GS3 was watching TV, and did not participate. We’re going to have another videochat today, without any television 📺 to interfere.
The almost two years old child was at the limit of his verbal expression, but he was clear about what he was saying. “I’m happy that we’re having this chat, but I want you to come back and talk in person.”

#GS4 still weighs less than 25lb. He will be two years old in a few months. His younger brother #GS5 is three months old and currently weighs 16.5lb. Of course, he will lose weight once he starts crawling and walking, but wow.

Also, #GS5's medical tests are back. The specialist says that he seems okay, but that follow ups are needed in about a year, to see if the suspicious pattern has progressed.
-
#GS5's medical tests have not found the problem, so they are requesting a referral to a specialist. In the meantime, he is really fussy.

Holding #GS5 and he starts crying. Grandpa started softly singing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm-ISatLDG0 and it seemed to calm him for a while.

#GS5 seems to have decided that he’s a “hold me all the time” baby, not a “put me down, I’ll call you when I want you” baby. This cuts deeply into #GS4’s “pick me up” time. There’s some adjustment needed for the 1.5 year old, and I expect he’ll resist it at first.

#GS3, #GS4, and #GS5 are asleep, but Hamilton continues. I seem to recall buying some historian’s book about Alexander Hamilton, along with both the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers. I think I bought two copies each (one sent home and one sent to #sonTwo, so should be here somewhere).
If I can find them, I think I’ll try to read some portion of those books.

The boys ( #GS3 and #GS4 ) have met their new baby brother, #GS5, and are swarming him. The 3.5 year old asked what to feed him, cheeseburgers or macaroni and cheese.
Mother and baby tested free of COVID-19 and baby has a few days of antibiotics because of his brothers' recent illness.
