It is hypocritical to denounce police killings halfway across the country without also dealing with your own locality’s history of unprovoked beatings and killings.
Woman: "Hi 911, I have a guy with a knife in my house right now trying to rape me"...
911: "Ok i can help with that, would you like the number to a place you can go and shoot up some heroin?"
Woman: "Ummm, no, I dont think that will help, I have a guy here trying to rape me with a knife"...
911: "Ohhh, ok, well best I can do is you just sit there and let him rape you, then afterwards I will give you a number to a PP officer where you can get an abortion!"
Woman: "Umm.. cant you send someone over with a gun or something to help protect me"
911: "Sorry we dont do that anymore, we defunded that department. But good news is the rapist will at least get some needed therapy when he is done raping you, so no worries"
(Note: it is easily possible that he would not know that a twenty US dollars bill he used was counterfeit ... e.g., he got it as change from another store or bank.)
Additional charges for all four officers in #George_Floyd killing.
* Derek Chauvin -- Second degree murder
* Others (Thomas Lane, J Alexander Kueng, tou Thao) -- aiding and abetting second degree murder, aiding and abetting second degree manslaughter
If they had done this eight days ago, the destruction around us would not have happened.
That 2nd degree charge is _in addition_ to the 3rd degree charge, not in place of.
A very bad strategy. No governor wants the their National Guard units to actually shoot people. They want to contain the destruction, so that rioters eventually run out of stuff to destroy and go back home. Likewise, no president wants the Army to shoot people.
And no soldier wants to be told to shoot his / her own nation's citizens, so there's a huge risk of disobedience.
The better strategy would be to send #US-DOJ in with arrest warrants for the other police officers involved in #George_Floyd's death (and the police officers involved in #Breonna_Taylor's death) and keep them confined while building a case against them.
