    @mangeurdenuage Well, most of the states have certified their results and most of the lawsuits are over. So, barring either a Supreme Court decision or faithless electors at the electoral college, we know #Biden will be the next President, taking over in January.

    I'm still trying to avoid nearly all #politics / #USPol / #Election_2020 news and discussion, but it is time for #Trump and his supporters to face reality and accept defeat. A better focus is the upcoming runoff elections for two #GA Senate seats.

    @feld It is good that such cases arouse suspicion. The systems obviously hadn't been fully tested. And in some of the contested states, there is a history of corruption. Let's allow every reasonable claim to be investigated, so there are no questions as to the actual winner.

    I'm particularly unhappy about Prop 22 passing. That's the one in which Uber and similar companies spent record amounts of money to give themselves a loophole from laws requiring that they treat their "independent contractors" as employees, since they exercise employer level control over the way work is done.

    This is as repulsive as the one several years back in which Walmart spent heavily to prevent the state from implementing its own mandatory medical coverage for employees. (Up until ACA, many Walmart employees tried to get on the state's Medi-Cal program for coverage. At the time of that election, Walmart was one of the largest employers in the nation.)

    Philadelphia stopped counting mail-in ballots for the night, so the pinkish color in #PA could turn out to be wrong. Also, Detroit had very high early voting and mail-in turnout, so #MI's pinkish color is also potentially misleading.

    According to a commentator on Politico, #CA Prop 16 is going down in flames. This would repeal prop 209 and allow state and local government and educational institutions to once again use ancestry / race and sex / gender in hiring and admissions decisions. Proponents painted it as affirmative action needed to right historic wrongs. Opponents painted it as enabling racism.

    I've reloaded the #NBCNews page so many times that their "please turn off your adblocker" interstitial stopped giving me the view site anyway option. Turning off #JavaScript got rid of that, but no more nice election results map. Switching to #CNN.

    7:54 pm: Georgia becomes second state to delay presidential primary

    Georgia will delay its presidential primary scheduled for next week over concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Democratic Committee confirmed to CNBC.

    Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Saturday said he was declaring a public health state of emergency in response to a growing number of coronavirus cases. He also encouraged faith-based organizations and similar entities to consider canceling public events and services

    The state will now hold its presidential primary on May 19 instead of March 24.

    Georgia's decision follows a similar move by Louisiana, which announced Friday it will push back its presidential nominating contests planned for April 4 to June 20.

    #CNN has no projections yet for #ND, #ID, #WA, or "Democrats Abroad". Also, there are a good 1,200-1,300 delegates still needed before either candidate can be sure of winning the nomination. There's still some distance to go.
