"#WesternDigital Corp., one of the largest makers of data-storage devices, plans to use the technology in some products and has open-sourced its designs. #Alibaba has announced a chip based on RISC#V and several universities have published open-source designs.
There are 200 #Chinese members of the #RISCvFoundation, a non-profit group created in 2015 to promote the use of the instruction set. An Indian project developed six processors using the technology."
I kinda want to study Chinese, but it would be more as a gateway to Korean and Japanese.
There's no way I'd get to class by 6 so I'd have to leave work early one day per week, and I'm already late every day, so this would force some awkward conversations 🤔
The benefit to studying Chinese is that China pays for it. It's like, Trump's dream.
no word from the customer, but I think I just solved a case that has been open for a month and a half. holy shit it feels good to have that off my back.
We still desperately need another person though.
The below doesn't mention #jenkins, but would be super useful. Any sort of programming knowledge would be useful. git knowledge needed is limited (I pretty much knew git clone when I started and don't really know much more now), although if you are a git master, that would be exceedingly useful. The Australia team tends not to specialize as much as the North American team. If you know #Chinese or #Korean that would be super useful, but not required.

@mike_hales no idea. Haven't found anyone #Chinese in the #fediverse yet. I was expecting #China to be heavily into #FreeCode, to protect themselves from US interference. The fact that Windows and proprietary apps are everywhere reveals a lot about the reality of sino-american relations, despite all the piss and wind
