I was looking at non-Star Trek work by Jeffrey Combs and I discovered that he was "Spectator/Prole #1" in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_Jo⦠where fellow recurring Star Trek actor Gary Graham plays the main role.
"Partners in Kryme" are rapping "Turtle Power!" in the end credits, proving that you don't have to be white to deliver the whitest rap ever. It is impossible to explain how this made #1 in the UK.
They have released three songs ever. This and another one that year, and turtle-themed "Rock the Halfshell" 25 years later, which was a cover of "Rock the Kasbah" and also sucked.
@dcent This is what I get when I run "patch display.css <display_css_dcent":

@augustus If McCartney hadn't met Lennon, he'd have probably gone on to compose strings of #1 hits for Motown or another hit factory like them.
If Lennon hadn't met McCartney, he'd have probably become just another pretentious artist who remained obscure because his output never connected with anyone.
It seems that oldies station #KRTH ( #K-earth_101 ) fully changed from a 1955-1973 format to a 1980s format (the station plays in the laundromat).
While I still enjoy the music, I was still surprised that the nationβs #1 oldies station abandoned the version of the oldies format that made them the leader. For my part, they used to play songs that Iβd never heard anywhere else.
As for the laundromat, during the entire time I was there, fewer than ten people were ever there. In contrast, the hotel laundry room is a tiny place, and there were three people already in there yesterday when I was going to wash.
@geniusmusing OMG! This will probably be the #1 product this holiday season.
It's a horrible idea, but that's what makes things popular. Admittedly listening in on your speech. Stee-rike! Unstated, but likely sends those recordings to HQ. Strike two! Requests nude selfies. You're out! ... and out of the game!
@dielan@Ox Depends, pivs seems to implies it was #1, so yeah, probably
Being #1 streamers on also means instant visibility and I believe chaturbate gives prizes too
It's kind of funny in a way. Realistically, you aren't ever going to fuck any of these girls. None of these girls truly cares about you either. So 2D or 3D, whether they actually exists or not, what's the difference really?
I'm wrestling between two different methods of game development for two different adventure games, and I think the lessons learned so far are pretty valuable.
Game #1 is an attempt to produce something linearly. In other words, the game is completely "on rails" for the sake of making the game playable from start to finish. The intention is to blur those hard edges away in the future to make the game's world feel bigger.
Game #2 is focused more on developing bullshit areas, minigames, characters, and inventory items that may well never make it into the final game. By doing this, I can focus on tightening mechanics and experimenting with loads of different ideas while not feeling too concerned about the plot.
@muehlfield Yup, thats pretty much what I was trying to say at the end. I agree. There is a reason I strongly support programs which are explicitly designed to support peope getting ahead, rather than programs that just dump money in their lap. Because if your poor you DO have a harder time and we should try to ensure anyone who is willing to do the work can make it.
I generally support ideas like this:
1) 100% tax payed education at all levels up to and including PhD
2) incentive based welfare. That is, everyone gets the bare minimum not to starve to death but if you want more than half a room and stale bread for dinner then you need to be commited to job training or education, but if you persue such things (which are free per #1) then welfare should be generous with both housing and food so long as you continue to perform
3) healthcare reform as well, a bit of a tangent but we need better mental health for the poor if they are to get over many of the issues they deal with, not to mention physical health.
