#Garden report:
The little red ants have decided to join in the farming game, only their "cows" ( aphids ) are suppressing the yields of my crops. I sprayed some more pesticide made of the oils of rosemary, garlic, and several other herbals in a 99% glycerin and water solution.
After the first few sprays, the aphids have all moved to the bottom of the leaves, so I have to lift the leaves and spray underneath. I'm hoping to knock out the infestation quickly, so there is a little more time of harvesting before the plants die for the Winter.
The three remaining kittens run and play in the garden, so in addition to not wanting to consume synthetic pesticide residues, I don't want the kittens to be exposed to them.
The caterpillars ( including tomato hornworms, the larvae of sphinx moths ) are less frequent, but this pesticide is also supposed to control many caterpillars, so I'm hoping not to have another recurrence.
I probably need to put up some sort of screening material at night for next year's crops, so that the moths cannot come lay eggs on or near my plants. https://nu.federati.net/attachment/275233
