Rule #1 of Sysadmin: Never ask users what they need, have their supervisor/boss submit a form or you will get what the user wants not needs (I need itunes/spotify/etc).
Rule #2 of Sysadmin: Never promise when they will get a new computer, put it out a few days to a week, things happen, and when you deliver it sooner you look like you made it a rush just for them.
Rule #3 of Sysadmin: Never talk about Sysadmin.
