Topic suggestions welcomed. - Brandon Hall and 🇩 🇪 🇼 🇴 🇴 〰️ like this.

Thanks to the nature of my job, I can't keep a regular schedule, but when I'm "on", I will listen to the current episode for 2-3 consecutive months, as well as backtrack through a topic series if I find a particularly interesting episode that is part of such a series.
.
@perloid @perloid and another host did a series on #Awk that I liked. @klaatu did a series on basic #server_admin that was also very good. Also, way back, @kulprit@quitter.se did series on his "Goodwill cluster" of recycled thrift store computers and one on building your own TV antennas.Brandon Hall likes this. -

I keep HPR in my podcatcher but don't listen to every episode. Just the ones that sound interesting to me. -
Dave Morriss (perloid@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 23-May-2018 13:19:45 UTC Dave Morriss @lnxw48a1 Some random ideas: 1. You have recently relocated; speak about the significant differences in your new location. 2. You spent some time in verbal "battles" with GNU Social bots in the past; discuss bot technology perhaps? 3. I first encountered you via a mailing list that @NYbill maintained; speak about email encryption and GPG; look at the current EFAIL exploit?
Please ignore as you see fit 😉

NYbill (nybill@mastodon.sdf.org)'s status on Wednesday, 23-May-2018 16:12:08 UTC NYbill @lnxw48a1 @perloid for me, I've found I can't set a time to record. I have to be jazzed up about something. An electronics project, troubleshooting something, a new piece of equipment, a software challenge & solution, etc...
I just keep a recorder in the computer/electronics room or in my backpack when out. When the mood strikes, I hit record and ramble.
Don't worry about um's and er's or long pauses. Audacity if your friend.
