Correction:
Naming the function of a software is beyond the capabilities of most humans sadly.

Word= Word processing not word
Excel= Spreadsheets not excel
Libre office Calc=spreadsheets not excel
Linux= kernel not GNU
etc...

@mangeurdenuage Basically he hacked amazon one time to troll it and got arrested because he's shit at it and now hes the big scary internet hacker man or something in the mainstream press.
If he was that good he wouldn't've gotten arrested.

TV has to show that police always wins.
A bit Similar case happened in france with bluetouff.
The guy was basically looking for public health documents.
He found some via googles indexation. Downloaded everything he could get on it (bit more than 3000 docs) used grep to find what he wanted.
Next day he was accused of hacking and downloading illegally public protected data.
I was younger when it happened but I remember him sharing the info and I myself went on the website that was referenced on google I could download anything.
Anyway the judge concluded that he was guilty because bluetouff said that at some point when exploring the tree directory a password was asked.
The judge didn't understand what was permissions.
The judge didn't understand that if bluetouff wanted to be anonymous he wouldn't have used a vpn that wasn't belong on french soil under his name and credit card.
The judge didn't understand what was grep.
TL;DR
Administrator didn't do his work to block google botnet from referencing a server badly administered and caused someone to go in prison for downloading public documents that where hiding from public.
