I think it is going to remain useful and active, even as some other p2p network storage schemes fizzle. -

Christopher M. Hobbs (hobbsc@gs.sdf.org)'s status on Monday, 27-Mar-2017 02:41:05 UTC Christopher M. Hobbs @lnxw48a1 it sort of flopped. I made a little money on a rally with it but haven't done anything else with it. I've pulled out of everything but ethereum at this point. All the alts are a rollercoaster and I don't have enough pepto in stock to ride. -

With most cryptocoins' constant and large price fluctuations, plus the constant fear that $CRYPTOCOIN_EXCHANGE might be the next Mt. Gox, it might be better to put the money in an air/water tight container and bury it in the backyard. Christopher M. Hobbs likes this. -

Christopher M. Hobbs (hobbsc@gs.sdf.org)'s status on Monday, 27-Mar-2017 12:14:34 UTC Christopher M. Hobbs @lnxw48a1 I think that coinbase/gdax and gemini are safe and reputable (they're regulated and inusred anyway) but other exchages are probably not safe at all. fl0wn likes this. -

David Hunt (davehunt@2mb.social)'s status on Monday, 27-Mar-2017 16:48:06 UTC David Hunt Storj might be a good use for my old computers nobody wants, even as donations. I forget the numbers, but, the estimate of disk storage annually thrown away was mind-boggling. #libreplanet talks.
