#sonTwo told me his wife's electronic textbooks were difficult for her to manipulate on her Amazon Kindle Fire. I just happened to be in an office store today and found a generic #Android tablet on sale for $60, so I bought it and shipped it. (No idea whether it will be any better, but it was worth a shot.)

If you know of an e-reader app for #Android that handles college textbooks (including whatever TUR* they may use), please speak up. I'll send them a list of suggestions.
* TUR → technical use restrictions (often euphemized as "digital rights management" or DRM): technologies that restrict how the purchaser can use the files or media they bought.

@lnxw48a1 I guess a $60 tablet is always worthy a shot. If anything, you can keep it on airplane mode and use it for watching movies

@lnxw48a1 I like Stallman's "Digital Restrictions Management" terminology
