If I can't talk myself into moving to California for a teaching job, maybe I will give machining a try.
Everyone who isn't a machinist tells me it's boring (heh), but maybe it isn't.

@kai Often heard that as well, about production jobs. Yet, as a creative I've often wondered if I should have that type of job because my joy comes from doing other things. Does that make sense? Letting work stay at work, and putting my energy into other areas that I find rewarding instead of trying to make work rewarding. Thoughts?
@sikkdays the funny thing is, I already have a production job. What I really want is paid professional development. I got spoiled starting off as a teacher and now I think it's not good enough to just be paid to do a thing.
@kai Oh for sure. I see things daily that I think may be interesting to go to, or I wonder how people got to present at (because I could do that damn it). Then, I see that it is $500 to register to go to the conference and I'm like, "Uh, yeah I can't do that."
@sikkdays Yeah, there's definitely a lot of crap out there. At least on the teaching side, it helps to be with a bigger district that can offer more specialized workshops. I have no idea what the rest of the world is like lol
