Brandon Hall (bthall@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Dec-2017 15:33:52 UTC Brandon Hall Last night I got a bit overwhelmed by a knotty issue and the feeling that I needed to get it done ASAP, but this morning I see that I can just think it through slowly and get it done. #personal #thinking #projects #psychology

zak storer 🎡 (zacts@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Dec-2017 16:32:50 UTC zak storer 🎡 @bthall I break tasks into pieces. I guess I also use a modified pomodoro technique to conquer each of those little pieces.

Try to keep each time chunk within 20 min. or less depending on the task.

Brandon Hall (bthall@mastodon.social)'s status on Sunday, 17-Dec-2017 16:58:40 UTC Brandon Hall @zacts My little trick is in response to the following idea and proceeds as so: "If we schedule to not work on X until time T, surely we shouldn't work on X until time T."
Ah, but what if we play with X until time T? Some work may yet get done, all while not doing "work."
Pomodoro, in this case, provides T and until T I can work without as much stress. This is a trick to overcome #procrastination and/or #stress when working. #ideas #personal

The #grammar-lizard is gone now. No one will lick your toes with his cold, slimy #bot_tongue whenever you say something #semi-grammatical.
