vegos (veg05@gnusocial.de)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Nov-2017 18:32:37 UTC vegos @cigarbguitarefx @manghoti @javier So the Pale Moon folks should host an extension site and invite all FF addon devs to join. This would be a big blow to FF. -
vegos (veg05@gnusocial.de)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Nov-2017 03:04:41 UTC vegos @javier A lot of addon authors already adapted. Nevertheless Firefox sucks. -
vegos (veg05@gnusocial.de)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Nov-2017 19:26:12 UTC vegos @javier The whole browser became too fat, taking too much resources. -
vegos (veg05@gnusocial.de)'s status on Tuesday, 07-Nov-2017 19:51:10 UTC vegos @javier They replaced themes with this stupid personas. Now they will replace addons with another shit. Perhaps they feel good, building a browser for idiots. Time to move to Vivaldi or Chromium? I hope some will fork Firefox, like Mate continued the good old GNOME desktop. BTW, I hate compulsory Adwaita, I always use Classic Theme Restorer to get rid of it. -
Javier Armas (javier@linuxrocks.online)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Nov-2017 07:32:26 UTC Javier Armas @veg05 Someone may have been working with the Gecko rendering machine of classic Firefox. I always thought that Pale Moon was built on Firefox. I didn't know they forked before the Chromization of Firefox:
"Note that Pale Moon will never adopt the Australis (Firefox 29 and later) interface and aims to remain a fully XUL-driven browser with full user interface customizability." http://www.palemoon.org/faq.shtml
It's what Firefox used to be. I've spent the afternoon tuning Pale Moon and I'm quite happy.

Just bumped up the market share a little. ;)

vegos (veg05@gnusocial.de)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Nov-2017 19:26:56 UTC vegos @cigarbguitarefx Will check it too. I always thought, it was only another Firefox. May be I already used it on Puppy Linux. @manghoti @javier -
Javier Armas (javier@linuxrocks.online)'s status on Wednesday, 08-Nov-2017 20:40:34 UTC Javier Armas @veg05 @manghoti @cigarBGuitarEfx They have a page with #palemoon extensions.
https://addons.palemoon.org/extensions/
Almost all legacy #firefox addons work fine with it. I think many sad firefox users will turn to Palemoon.
