!Libranet Support is there a way to adjust the timeout on the server side?
-
Its probably a dumb question. I'm not much of a networking guy, even if i got an A in my college Cisco networking course. That's probably a sign of how easy Community College is.

I've been at my in-laws for the holidays a week now. I've hardly been on Friendica, partially because the web interface has been practically impossible to use. They live in a very rural area and most days their download speed maxes out at 0.5 MB/s many attempts don't work on web. Particularly things that aren't natively supported on #AndStatus like SHARE POST and CONTACT SEARCH that I try to use on web instead.

@fu I have definitely noticed that when I use the phone's hotspot, the Friendica UI on Libranet doesn't work correctly and takes forever to load anything. I would say the real issues are (1) too much #JavaScript instead of native HTML + CSS (2) infinite scroll instead of pagination. The combination makes every page load into a REALLY big download.

@LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} i have infinite scroll turned off. I thought it was off by default. I sm using the default Frio theme which probably is more rescouce intensive than some of the other themes. Thanks for the idea I'll try it out.

@Steffen K9 🍮 OH! Maybe that's why its been doing better today and not because I switched from my default browser to Tor.
