They are hype following apes, working on a self fulfilling prophecy. One told me, nobody uses that (other networks). But moaning, when bans happen.

@vegos I just tell people that I'm an early adopter and they're late adopters. For most people I know, I was on the two biggest socnets when they weren't even aware of them yet. After I left Facebook, everyone I know rushed in.

Alas, it is a hard job, to get some NGOs into the fediverse. Some are here, for example EFF, German Digital Courage and others. I learned in art and social projects that those who work against centralized structures or proprietary software are depending the most on it. So Twitter is still an important news source for me. Sad to see Twister abandoned, even by the initial developer. It still works well.

@vegos I agree. To most organizations, their primary concern is reach. So they congregate on big #corpocentric #socnets, even when the central corporation running things is actively hostile to their point of view.
Then they're butthurt when their accounts are shadowbanned.
Years ago, I tried to persuade some local Black churches and ethic-focused organizations to join !GNUsocial and #Diaspora, but was unsuccessful. I think they all joined #Facebook, where their posts are hidden by the algorithms.
