@clacke Can you describe how that AP "groups" server you use works? And post its URL? I think @heluecht is doing something similar for #Friendica, but it might be helpful to make sure everyone is thinking about similar ideas.

@Nobody [LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1)] @Michael Vogel Conceptually gup.pe works exactly the same as a mailing list: You send to it, it reposts. The technical differences are that:
- AP has reposts as a concept
- AP has subscription as a concept
You'd almost think mailing lists are a time-traveling emulation of fedi groups.
Anyway, any post on the inbox becomes an Announce activity on the outbox and that's it, and then the devil is in the details of authorization and moderation, but I think gup.pe has none of that. The next implementation probably should.
To me personally as a privileged person who never got harassed on fedi, the most glaring omission on gup.pe is the lack of a usable permanent archive.

@Nobody [LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1)] @Claes Wallin πΈπͺππ° I guess that the concepts are very similar. In Friendica you need to subscribe to the group account. Then you create a post where you mention the account. Then the group account is sending an announce with that post.
