I'm sure some agency collects and publishes annual data about major metro areas. Probably not back to the 1920s, but at least since the 1970s. - Brandon Hall likes this.

I could use the data still, but I feel like it'd smooth out the granularity that the guy needed to make a solid decision about the matter. 😞
