I figured they aren't the only ones whose days could use a little brightening. -

The year old cat now feels safe enough to walk past me to get to his bowl. The younger kitty will come to just out of reach, as long as I look away from her. -

What is the advantage of #Drobo compared with a standard #Synology or #Qnap NAS (or even an #Odroid HC-1)? -
GeniusMusing (geniusmusing@nu.federati.net)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Mar-2019 22:03:16 UTC GeniusMusing @lnxw48a1 It seemed the best value at the time for project archive/old user files/emails storage and being able to grow with the space needs. Currently have (3) 6TB drives but I will be adding one or two more when I rebuild, it can hold 8 drives.

It may have taken three weeks but I was also on holiday for 10 of those days and we had tried many things to get it back up. Support was actually pretty good for it not being a full blown, OMG data loss emergency. I could rebuild most of the data and some of what could be lost was years old user stuff that would most likely never get used or looked for beyond a year or so.
