My main comment is: BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
This is the best Twitter reply: "did you get memepool in the deal?" https://twitter.com/rseymour/status/870332407060324353-

sungo (sungo@public.sungo.io)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2017 18:28:48 UTC sungo @maiyannah It mostly had. It's a lot like the fediverse that way. The latest owners would make some obnoxious change and lots of folks would bail, often to Pinboard. The latest corporate overlords wouldn't understand the point of bookmarking so they wouldn't put resources to keeping members. Wash rinse repeat. -
sungo (sungo@public.sungo.io)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2017 19:16:26 UTC sungo Apparently, Pinboard bought Delicious for $35k. In the past, it has sold for tens of millions of dollars. -

That's less than one FTE's annual salary. #Del.icio.us must have been days away from chapter 7. Brandon Hall and Craig Maloney ☕ like this. -

sungo (sungo@public.sungo.io)'s status on Thursday, 01-Jun-2017 20:00:12 UTC sungo @lnxw48a1 I think the corporate overlords simply didn't give a shit about it and saw this pittance as a way to offload a significantly higher cost in servers. I seem to recall Pinboard saying months back that the servers to run delicious cost tens of thousand a month to operate. So, get $35k and save 10k$/mth? Great deal. LinuxWalt (@lnxw48a1) {3EB165E0-5BB1-45D2-9E7D-93B31821F864} repeated this. -
